The Instant Sell feature on DMarket allows users to sell supported items immediately at a predefined price, without creating a manual listing. The selling process is fast and automated; however, it is subject to Steam Trade Protection, which may temporarily restrict the availability of the funds received from a sale.
What Is Instant Sell
An instant sale is the process of selling an item at a price that has already been set by another user through a Target (buy order) on the marketplace. If an instant sale price is available for an item, it will be displayed in the Inventory section. If no price is shown, there are currently no active buy orders for that item. (see Fig. 1)

To sell an item instantly, please proceed with the following steps:
- Go to the 'Sell inventory' tab and select the item or items you’d like to sell instantly (see Fig.2).

- Click the “Sell now” button (see Fig.3).

If an item is located in your Steam inventory, you have to deposit it to DMarket before selling. To deposit an item, click the “Accept trades on Steam” button (see Fig.4) and confirm the trade on Steam within 10 minutes. After the trade is completed, your item will be deposited to DMarket and sold instantly.
Important: beware of scambots. Always check the registration date of the bot while depositing an item.

If an item is already deposited to DMarket, the sale will be processed without creating a trade.
- Once the sale is completed, the item is instantly transferred to the buyer. However, in accordance with Steam Trade Protection, the funds received from the sale may be temporarily locked on the user’s DMarket balance (see Fig.5)

Availability of Funds and Rollback Policy
Steam Trade Protection allows the original owner of an item to roll back a trade for a limited period. Therefore, the following conditions apply to Instant Sell transactions:
* Funds received from an instant sale remain locked until the Trade Protection timer expires.
* During this period, the funds cannot be withdrawn or used for marketplace transactions.
After the Trade Protection period ends, the locked funds become fully available for use or withdrawal.
Possible problems with instant sale
I’ve tried to sell my Steam-stored item via Instant Sale. The item is gone now but my DMarket balance has not been updated.
Please check the My Items section of your DMarket account. There is a chance that your item has been successfully deposited to your DMarket inventory but its instant sale has not been completed. This may be due to a change in the item’s instant sale price. If so, you can select the same item in your DMarket inventory and proceed with the “Sell now” option again.
